"A Year with Frog and Toad" hops in as the Children's Musical Theater production series continues with the third show of the season at the playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Dr., Clarksville. The play begins Feb. 23, with performances on Saturdays through March 30.
After waking in the spring from winter hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way, a release said. The production follows the friends as they celebrate the differences that make each of them unique and special. "A Year with Frog and Toad" tells the story of a friendship that weathers all seasons.
Directed by Matt Wallace, the play features Cary Wiger as Frog and Bill Hanna as Toad. Janet Essenpreis, Carly Stotts, Kiersten Vorheis and Chris Bryant also perform in the children's production, the release said.
Two performances we be given every Saturday through the end of March. A breakfast buffet begins at 9 a.m., and the play begins at 10 a.m. A lunch session also takes place with a buffet at noon, and the play at 1:15 p.m. Breakfast tickets are $16, and lunch tickets are $21. All performances feature a kid-friendly menu.
The production is suitable for children ages 3 to 12. School performances are available throughout the week, and lesson plans that meet Kentucky and Indiana academic goals are available.
