The General Butler State Resort Park will host television's most beloved couple as part of its dinner theater show on Feb. 15.
Melody Knighton and Luis Hernandez
Impersonators Melody Knighton and Luis Hernandez will present "The Lucy & Ricky Tribute Show" at 6:30 p.m. at the General Butler Conference Center.
Tickets are $40 per person and available until noon Feb. 14 at the lodge front desk. A cash bar will be available, and there will be assigned seating.
The two actors from Atlanta are one of the most popular Lucy and Ricky duos in the business and capture the looks and sounds of the iconic characters.
The television series "I Love Lucy" ran from 1951-57 and aired 179 episodes. The show now has been in syndication for decades, making Lucille Ball's depiction of Lucy one of the most widely recognized and embraced TV characters.
The fast-paced, 90-minute show is full of surprises and will feature comedy sketches, musical numbers and audience participation.
Individual tickets are still available and the show is considered for all ages.
The park typically holds two theater dinners - one near Valentine's Day and another in November.
Tanya Supplee, the park events coordinator, said she felt the "I Love Lucy" tribute show fit well given that the dinner was scheduled for the day after Valentine's Day.
Impersonators are common guests at the park's dinner theater performances. It has hosted Elvis, Blues Brothers and Mark Twain in the past, as well as a Broadway series.
