"Pippin" begins at 2 p.m. Saturday with another performance at 7 p.m. There also will be a Sunday show at 4 p.m. Performances will be in the school's gym.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
LeAnne Adams, the director of the show, said they began preparing in February.
"We're excited. This is a great show," she said.
The show has been around since the 1970s. The ensemble cast tells the story of Pippin, a young prince searching for passion and adventure in his life. To prove his loyalty to his father, King Charles, Pippin goes to war. But when the Leading Player convinces the prince to fight tyranny, Pippin struggles to decide whether he should settle down and pursue a peaceful life or continue to make magic with the troupe of performers.
"I love the music. My husband is the one who introduced me to the show," Adams said. "And now it's exciting to see kids who've never heard of it are loving it."
Steve Schwartz wrote the music and lyrics for the show. Adams said overall, the show is funny with some serious moments.
"It's the music and the performance that carry it," she said.
