New event features wine, craft brews, bourbons and whiskeys

Wine, Stein & Barrel will make its debut along Madison's riverfront next weekend.
The event, from 5 to 9 p.m. June 21, will include tastings of regional wines, craft brews, bourbon and whiskeys.
Appetizers will be served every 30 minutes.
VIP tickets are $55 and general admission is $40. VIP guests have access to early admission and can arrive at 5 p.m. They also will receive 25 tasting tickets, appetizer buffet and a special Bourbon Presentation.
General admission begins at 6 p.m. and ticket holders will receive 20 tasting tickets. All attendees receive a commemorative tasting glass, appetizers, music and the opportunity to bid on auction items.
Tickets are limited - at about 300 - and organizers encourage patrons to purchase their tickets in advance online at www.visitmadison.org or by calling (812) 265-2956.
Tickets are also available from Riverfront Development Committee members and at River Valley Bank on Clifty Drive.
The event will benefit the Riverfront Development
"We hope to provide a fun, elegant summer evening along the riverfront and begin an annual tradition." Margaret Bridgford, event coordinator, said in a news release.
Participating Indiana wineries are: Ertel Cellars in Batesville; Ridge Winery in Switzerland County; Holtkamp Winery in New Alsace; and Lanthier Winery, Thomas Family Winery and Madison Vineyards, all of Madison.
Craft beers available for tasting: Sun King Brewery in Indianapolis; Quaff On in Brown County and Upland Brewery in Bloomington. Bourbon and whiskey tastings include selections from Indiana Whiskey Co. in South Bend; New Holland Brewing in Holland, Mich., and Angel's Envy in Louisville.
Participants also will be able to bid on works donated by Hanover College Public Art 2014 students and Lou Knoble.
