The six wineries on the Indiana Wine Trail will celebrate the Christmas season with a two-day holiday event this weekend.

The annual Nouveau Noelle will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Events will be held at Madison Vineyards Estate Winery, Lanthier Winery and Thomas Family Winery in Madison; the Ridge Winery in Vevay; Ertel Cellars Winery in Batesville; and Stream Cliff Herb Farm and Winery in Commiskey.

Guests who purchase tickets for the event will receive a gift basket and items from each of the six winery stops. Each winery will add items to the progressive holiday wine gift basket as visitors make their way to all six locations on the Indiana Wine Trail.

Gifts include a bottle-shaped bread tray and cheese spreader from Madison Vineyards Estate Winery, a handmade tin and copper historic Christmas icicle from Thomas Family Winery, a chocolate selection from Lanthier Winery, a hand-painted ornament from Stream Cliff Herb Farm and Winery, two holiday-themed wine glasses from Ertel Cellars Winery, and a bar towel and napkins from The Ridge Winery.

The wineries will also be open to the public during regular business hours for wine tasting and holiday shopping opportunities this weekend.

"It's a fun and relaxing way to enjoy Christmas shopping," Steve Thomas of Thomas Family Winery said in the release. "Each of the six wineries adds a unique gift to the basket and you get to enjoy shopping at a leisurely pace."
