The Little Grand Theatre Company's 2014 season continues this weekend with a performance of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.

Show times will be at 7 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All performances will be on the Main Stage of the Ohio Theatre.

This energetic musical follows Tom, a young school teacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching.

He tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music.

Memorable songs such as "I'm Just A Bill," "Three is a Magic Number" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life.

Laura Ratcliff, president of the Little Grand Theatre Company, is directing the performance.

The music director is DeAnn Klinedinst. This is her debut performance with the Little Grand Theatre Company. The set designer is Anne Lostutter, and costumes were created by Karla Sonksen.

Brett Eppley stars as Tom, with Gary Burdette as George; Shonica Hartless as Dori; Katie Wood as Shulie; Ben Ratcliff as Joe and Bekah Clayton as Dina.

Members of the chorus include Abbey McCullom, Brandon Hedgepeth, Claire Lostutter, Jaylin Lee, Jeremiah McCollum, Lindsay Lee, Lydia Riley and Taylor Williams.

The members of the crew are Jed Carter, Tristan Kelsey, Jayda Lee, Jayme Lee, Alex Ratcliff, Will Ratcliff and Tracey Riley.

Tickets are available at the Ohio Theatre or at www.lgtc.org. They are $8 for adults and $5 for children younger than 18. The play is recommended for audiences of all ages.
