A reception will be held Friday honoring five artists whose work is currently on display at Hanover College in the Greiner Art Gallery.

The Knoble: A Group Exhibition of Artists in Our Own Backyard will have a reception at 5 p.m. Friday with gallery talks starting at 5:30 p.m. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. The exhibit runs until May 23.

The Knoble 2014 features artworks by five regional artists: Devon Kondaki, Kimberly Luther, Kendal Miller, Robbie Mueller and Larry Rudolech.

The artwork is presented in several different forms and covers a variety of different subject matter.

Kondaki is a former Hanover College student who has written and illustrated two children's books centering on a fuzzy cartoon gnome named Winzlow.

Luther is a painter and sculptor from Lake Forest, Ill. Her work is a mash-up inspired by historical anatomy, ritual and the overlap between science and religion, according to her website.

Miller, of Dillsboro, is a photographer who has shown photos in Madison, Switzerland County and LaGrange, Ky.

Mueller is a retired teacher and self-taught artist, who started with farmhouse furniture but moved to accent pieces. He is from Buckner, Ky.

Rudolech, of Madison, is a painter who, according to his website, paints a random variety of subject matter.
