Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day & Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Mark Nichols: The 1974 Hanover College graduate and author of "From Azaleas to Zydeco: My 4,600-Mile Journey through the South," will sign and read from his book March 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Village Lights Bookstore. His presentation will also include music from points along his travels.
Downtown St. Patrick's Party: Will be held in downtown Madison. Irish Road Bowling begins March 14 at 5 p.m. on a short, urban track through downtown alleys. Participants will roll cannonballs down Hentz Alley, beginning at West St. through to Jefferson St. There will also be a Leprechaun Contest at the Thomas Family Winery, 208 E. Second St. Stop in to show off and have a picture taken. Judges will choose a prize winner at the end of the evening.
St. Patrick's Day Celebration: Will be held March 15 at the Thomas Family Winery, 208, E. Second St., with live music from The Ragged Arse Tinkers, Lance Minnis and Adin Pemberton. The event will also include food, prizes and dancing. Food will be offered starting at 6 p.m., followed by music at 7 p.m. For more information call (812) 273-3755.
St. Patrick's Card and Family Fun Night: Will be held in the Pope John Elementary School cafeteria March 15 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. with card, games, door prizes, food, drinks and raffles. Admission is $6. The doors open at 6:15 p.m.
Blast from the Past Prom: The Knights of Columbus will host a prom event March 15 from 7:30 to 11 p.m. with music from the Doctors Band. The event is a fundraiser for the Shawe Memorial High School junior class. Tickets are $30 per couple and can be purchased at the door or at Shawe.
Author Fair: That Book Place will host an author fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 15. The event will include more than 40 authors including, James William Peercy, C.S. Marks, Tony Acree, Brick Marlin and Mysti Parker.
RiverRoots Kickoff Fundraiser: Will begin March 21 at 6 p.m. at The Old Feed Mill, 301 W. Second St. The event will include five live bands, a cash bar and merchandise from musicians and the festival. Admission is $10. Members and sponsors will be admitted free.

The Good Body: Hanover College's V-Day Committee will present "The Good Body" by Eve Ensler from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 14-March 15 with a suggested donation of $3. Profits will be donated to Turning Point Women's Shelter, with 10 percent going towards the V-Day organization.
School House Rock Live! Jr.: The Little Grand Theatre Company will present "School House Rock Live! Jr. March 14 at 7 p.m. and March 15 and March 16 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for children and $8 for adults.
Jennifer and Jessica Leake: Will display drawings and paintings during the month of March in the community room of the Carroll County Public Library. A reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. March 8 for Jennifer and Jessica, of Bella's Style on Main.
Bill Borden: The Madison Art Club's Art on Main will feature the work of William "Bill" Borden's watercolors during the month of March. The exhibit of original artwork will be on display through March 31. Gallery hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The gallery does not have set hours on Wednesdays. Courage and Hope: A new series of paintings by local artist Jenny Straub Youngblood will be on display in Butler University's Clowes Memorial Hall March 11 through May 19. Youngblood is among seven Indiana artists featured in the exhibit. A gallery talk will be held at 6 p.m. April 8.
Youth Art Month Reception: Trimble County Public Library will host a special reception from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 22 as the culmination of its National Youth Art Month festivities. Rebekka Seigel will exhibit some of her quilts along with the art children created in her classes. Art created at the Senior Social and Teen Art Night will also be on display.
Art Opening Reception - Jane Andreasen: Madison native and Earlham College graduate Jane Andreasen will present, "Sacra Systemata," a series of works in mixed-media and pencil, utilizing anatomical illustration and iconographic imagery, at Village Lights Bookstore. The opening reception will be held March 28 from 5 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will run through May 20.
Ride Along (PG13): Fast-talking security guard Ben joins his cop future brother-in-law James on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta in order to prove himself worthy of marrying Angela, James' sister. The film stars Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and Tika Sumpter.
The Nut Job (PG): Surly, a curmudgeon, independent squirrel is banished from his park and forced to survive in the city. Lucky for him, he stumbles on the one thing that may be able to save his life, and the rest of the park community, as they gear up for winter - Maury's Nut Store. The film features the voices of Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Liam Neeson and Katherine Heigl.

Need for Speed (PG13): Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross-country race with revenge in mind. His former partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins. The film stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper and Scott Mescudi.
300 - Rise of an Empire (R): Greek general Themistokles leads the charge against invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy. The film stars Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green and Lena Headey.
Mr. Peabody & Sherman (PG): Follow the time-travelling adventures of an advanced canine and his adopted son, as they endeavor to fix a time rift they created. The film features the voices of Ty Burrell, Max Charles and Stephen Colbert.
Son of God (PG13): The life story of Jesus is told from his birth through his teachings, crucifixion and resurrection. The film stars Diogo Morgado, Amber Rose Revah and Sebastian Knapp.
The Monuments Men (PG13): An unlikely World War II platoon is tasked with rescuing art masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their owners. The film stars George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman and Cate Blanchett.
3 Days to Kill (PG13): A dying Secret Service Agent trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter is offered an experimental drug that could save his life in exchange for one last assignment. The film stars Kevin Costner, Hailee Stenfeld and Connie Nielsen.
The LEGO Movie (PG): A story of a nobody who saved everybody. An ordinary LEGO minifigure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join the quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together. The film features the voices of Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks and Craig Berry.
