Filing for school board seats ends today

The president of the Madison School Board filed for re-election Thursday.
Todd Bass joins board vice president Carl Glessing, board secretary Linda laCour and newcomer Larry Henry who have already filed. Candidates are vying for three open seats in the November election.
The deadline to file is today at noon.
Voters will select three candidates to fill the vacancies.
Southwestern Schools also has three seats open. Those seats are currently held by board president Kevin Brierly, board secretary Cree Green and Deanna Liter.
Earlier this week, John L. Jones filed to run in Hanover Township and Richard P. Stockdale filed to run in Saluda Township. Warren Auxier filed earlier to run in Saluda Township.
