An annual luncheon and fundraiser supporting Girls Inc. of Jefferson County will be held next week.

The 11th annual "She Knows Where She's Going" event will honor three local women who live the Girls Inc. mission of being strong, smart and bold during the luncheon. The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Livery Stable, 307 Broadway.

Girls Inc. Executive Director Susan Stahl said the event will last about an hour. Girls participating in the organization's programs will introduce the 2014 honorees.

Proceeds from the event benefit the local Girls Inc. programs. Girls Inc. offers after-school and summer programming for girls ages 5 to 18 and supports the mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold.

The organization offers a variety of classes from technology and homework assistance to cooking and economic literacy.

Only a few tickets remain for the event. People interested in attending should call (812) 265-5863. Tickets are $30.

No tickets will be sold at the door.

A flower auction also will be held with the proceeds supporting the local non-profit organization.
