A Southwestern School District bus was involved in two minor accidents on consecutive days.

Jeff Brooks, transportation director at Southwestern, said the bus was on Borcherding Road on Thursday morning when a car backed out onto the road. The bus was able to slow down, but still struck the car, Brooks said.

This morning, the bus, which Brooks said was driven by the same person, was on County Road 600-W and attempting to turn around.

The bus was backing out, Brooks said, and a car stopped behind the bus. The bus ended up backing into the car.

Students were on the bus during both incidents, but Brooks said there were no injuries and the bus sustained minimal damage.
