A Hanover couple hopes the idea of peace on Earth might continue to be a thought even after the Christmas holiday this year.

Hal and Yvonne Davis are asking area residents to join the "Consciousness for Peace" movement with the hope that the power of positive thinking will help bring peace to all nations.

The Davises said they hope the positive thoughts will turn into a positive energy for the electromagnetic grid that will promote a positive response throughout the world.

The event, which will be held at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, won't have a specific location. Instead, the Davises ask people to join in wherever they might be - home, work or elsewhere - with 15 minutes of bell ringing, prayer or just positive thoughts for peace.

Yvonne Davis said the movement has had tremendous support over the last two months, and the idea has spread to 12 or 14 countries throughout the world thanks to the connections, the internet and social networking sites.

The idea also expanded over the last few weeks, and a few people plan to join together for the event instead of just 15 minutes of personal reflection for peace.

"We're really looking forward to it because people are planning to meet together at their churches," Yvonne Davis said.

Some people plan to join together at local churches for the "Consciousness for Peace" movement. A group plans to meet at Hanover Presbyterian Church, 174 E. Main St. in Hanover, at 2 p.m. for the event.

The Davises encourage everyone to join in the movement on Saturday, from wherever they might be at the time.

They encourage people to stop, think or pray for peace throughout the world while synchronizing power to raise the consciousness and activate energies on the grid to empower peaceful resolution throughout the world.
