Monday's rainy forecast didn't keep some area children from enjoying the first day of summer vacation at the Crystal Beach Pool.
Madison Parks Director Dave Stucker said the first regular weekend at the pool was well attended. "We had a good startup to the summer," Stucker said.
Monday marked the beginning of summer swim lessons for children. Adult aerobics classes will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Crystal Beach is open from noon to 8 p.m. every day. Admission to the pool on Vaughn Drive is $4 for a day pass or $50 for a summer pass.
