MILTON WRECK SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL
Wednesday, May 01, 2013 11:00 AM
A two-vehicle accident closed one lane of U.S. 421 in Milton, Ky., on Tuesday as emergency crews extricated one driver from the vehicle.
Cynthia Jones of Bedford, Ky., was northbound on U.S. 421 when she stopped to make a left-hand turn onto Sprague Lane. Another vehicle driven by Adrian Foster of Milton failed to see the stopped vehicle and rear-ended Jones, causing the vehicle to spin to a stop while facing southbound, Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said.
Jones had to be extracted from her vehicle. She was transported to Baptist Health LaGrange in LaGrange, Ky., with non life-threatening injuries. Foster refused EMS treatment at the scene, Long said.
Milton and Bedford fire units responded to the accident at 12:05 p.m. The scene took about two hours to clear.
Fire units were assisted by Trimble County EMS, Trimble County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police. (Submitted photo)
