The scheduled Indiana Department of Transportation closure of a segment of State Road 7 to replace the Camp Creek bridge in Dupont has been pushed back a week from Monday to July 14.
The closure could last 120 days but is expected to be completed by the end of November.
Dave O'Mara, the contractor for the $684,147 INDOT project, is charged with demolishing the existing bridge and building a new 67-foot, single-span concrete box beam structure.
A signed detour will be in place prior to the closure.
The Camp Creek bridge is located between North Vernon and Madison - eight miles south of the State Road 3-State Road 7 split and Vernon, and 10.4 miles north of State Road 62.
