The Board of Works approved street closings for the Choices for Women Walk for Life.

The walk will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. May 4. The streets the board approved to have closed off are Vaughn Drive between St. Michael's Avenue and Vine Street and St. Michael's Avenue from Vaughn Drive to Main Street.

In other business, Madison Police Department Major Jeremey Perkins announced Nathan Copeland was hired as the Animal Control officer.
