An accident in Milton caused three people to be treated for non-life threatening injuries Thursday.

Cathey Buchanan of Madison, had slowed for a vehicle turning onto McCord Lane when the rear of her vehicle was hit by Elizabeth Hans of Madison, Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said.

Hans was transported by Trimble County EMS to King's Daughters' Hospital for her injuries. A passenger from Buchanan's vehicle, Carolyn Detmer of Milton, also was taken by ambulance to King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison for her injuries.

Buchanan was not transported to the hospital by EMS, but she also received treatment for her injuries from the accident at King's Daughters' Hospital, Long said.

The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. and caused the roadway to be reduced to one lane for about an hour while the scene was cleared.

Milton Fire & Rescue, Bedford Fire & Rescue, Kentucky State Police and Trimble County EMS responded to the scene.
