Kentucky State Police arrested two people after finding a methamphetamine lab at a Carroll County home Tuesday night.

Troopers went to the home of Ricky Shelton, 56, after receiving tips that he and Dana Harmon, 49, of Louisville, were manufacturing meth at the residence on KY 36. Harmon also was wanted on an outstanding warrant for probation violation.

Troopers notified probation and parole officials of Harmon's location and searched the home, locating a meth lab and several ingredients used in the manufacturing of the drug in the garage.

Shelton and Harmon each face charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a meth precursor.

Police also served Harmon with two warrants for probation violations.

Shelton and Harmon remain lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center in Carrollton.

Two children were in the home at the time of the arrests but were released to family members.
