Two file for Southwestern School Board seats

Two new candidates have filed to run for the Southwestern School Board.
John L. Jones filed to run in Hanover Township.
Richard P. Stockdale filed to run in Saluda Township.
The Southwestern seats up for election are Hanover Township, Saluda Township and Smyrna Township. Those seats are currently held by Board President Kevin Brierly, Cree Green and Secretary Deanna Liter respectively.
Madison Consolidated Schools has three seats up for re-election that are currently held by School Board President Todd Bass, Vice President Carl Glesing and Secretary Linda laCour.
Bass and Glessing both represent Madison's Second District, while laCour represents the Third District.
Glessing and laCour have filed for re-election and newcomer Larry Henry is seeking a Third District seat.
Voters will have the opportunity to pick the three candidates they want to fill the vacancies.
The deadline to register to run for school board is Friday at noon.
