Top, a mudslide has come close to taking down two outbuildings on Bob Marlette's property at 1559 KY 36 in Carroll County. The mud had partially covered the roadway Sunday and had been cleared for traffic by Monday morning. Marlette, said a smaller slide threatened his home several years ago. A stone retaining wall was built after that slide. "This slide was a lot bigger," Marlette said Monday. "I worried because there's another house, a real nice house, up above us on this hill. This rain keeps going and that one might slide."
INDOT workers, bottom, closed a portion of State Road 7 on Monday to clear mud and rocks that fell on Hanging Rock Hill over the weekend and early Monday morning.
