A little more than two weeks remain for Democrats and Republicans in Kentucky to file for the 2014 primary elections.

Several candidates have already filed to run for county offices that will be on the ballot May 20. County offices up for election this year include: county judge-executive, county clerk, county attorney, sheriff, jailer, county coroner, property valuation administrator, surveyor, magistrates and constables.

Residents may file to run in the primary election at the county clerk's office. The filing period ends at 4 p.m. on Jan. 28.
