Jeffrey Cottingham, 57, of Vevay and Madison, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.

William Pulliam

William Pulliam, 74, of Milton, Ky., died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Milton, Ky., to George and Mary Scholey Pulliam. He graduated from Carroll County High School in 1960. He was a laborer with the Laborer Union Local 576 for 25 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Madison. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and building miniature World War II airplanes.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Mikesell Pulliam, whom he married in 1977; two sons, Jesse Pulliam of Madison and Scott Pulliam of Deputy; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tommy Pulliam.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton, Ky. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service.



Carolyn Whitmer

Carolyn Jean Quinn Whitmer, 71, of El Centro, Calif., died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Madison, to Charles and Edna Quinn. She moved to Imperial County, Calif., in 1968. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed reading, watching moves, listening to music and talking with her family and friends into the long hours of the night.

She is survived by her husband, Ted; three children, John Bobbitt, Michael Bobbitt and Charleen Ramirez; three sisters, Helen Ann Liter, Pat Quinones and Linda Bocio; three brothers, Buddy Quinn, John Quinn and Michael Quinn; five grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Thomas Quinn.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 25 at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Imperial County Humane Society. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.

The Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre is in charge of local arrangements.
