Anna L. Beeles, 79 of Hanover, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Thornton Terrace in Hanover.
She was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Louisville, Ky., to Robert and Mary Alma Orkies Sullivan.
She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Rudelic of St. Louis, Mo., and Joan M. Beeles of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Michael Beeles of Milton, Ky., and Edward M. Beeles III of Crestwood, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Beeles Jr., whom she married June 14, 1952, and who died June 8, 2008; her parents; and one grandson.
A funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. today at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Contributions can be made through the Vail Funeral Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Clark, 84, of Hanover, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

Kenneth Eugene McDowell, 80, of Carrolton, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 18, 2013, on Bell's Ridge in Bedford, Ky., to Ernest and Ida Harmon McDowell. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by the Carrollton City Police for 20 years and worked in special investigations for the Attorney General.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Ellison McDowell; three children, Dianne Bruce of Jacksboro Tenn., Randall McDowell of Frankfort, Ky., and Todd McDowell of Birmingham, Ala.; one sister, Mabel Burckhardt of Carrollton, Ky.; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the service.

Rose Marie Baglan Melton, 82, of Madison, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Madison, to Enos and Katie Giltner Baglan. She was a member of the 1949 graduating class of Madison High School. She worked as a bookkeeper in various businesses in Madison and at Sentry Insurance Co. in Stevens Point, Wis., where she and her family resided from 1971 until 1985. She returned to Madison in 1985 and began attending St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, Ky. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, reading and spending time with her family and her Dachshund.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Marie Melton of Madison; one son, Michael Wayne Melton of Madison; one sister, Virginia Vaughn of Fishers; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Melton, whom she married Nov. 28, 1953, and who died Dec. 8, 1986; her parents; one sister, Catherine Westrick; and four brothers, Enos Baglan, Nicholas Baglan, William Baglan and Alfred Baglan.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Chapel. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Patsy Louise Powers Romans, 75, of Vevay, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born June 11, 1938, in Williamsburg, Ky., to Andrew Jackson and Ruby Delores Large Powers. She was raised in Williamsburg, Ky., and graduated from Poplar Creek High School. She had resided in the Vevay community since 1960. She was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and reading the Bible.
She is survived by one daughter, Edith Butcher of Vevay; one son, Paul Romans of Vevay; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Lawson and Eula Joan Wilson, both of Williamsburg, Ky.; four brothers, Jack Powers Jr. of Westland, Mich., and Edward Powers, Vernon Powers and Raymond Powers, all of Williamsburg, Ky.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Richard Romans, whom she married June 20, 1960, and who died Feb. 7, 1985; her parents; and one brother, Jerry Powers.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service.

Walter Seaward Jr.
Walter Seaward Jr., 53, of Carrollton, Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 13, 1960, in Detroit, Mich., to John Quince Mefford and Dorothy Storie Seaward. He had worked in the construction industry and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Skaggs "Kathy" Seaward; three sons, Jeffery Scott Skaggs of Carrollton, Ky., Michael Ray Skaggs of Bedford, Ky., and Nathan Corey Seaward of Lexington, Ky.; one sister, Martha Storie Tilley of Carrollton, Ky.; one brother, David Bishop Storie of Stuart, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen.
