Ruby Evelyn Burnette Stillhammer Hunter, 96, of Hanover, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Scott County, to Thomas and Cora J. Lowry Burnette. She retired as a fourth-grade teacher at Southwestern Elementary School in Hanover. She was a member of Hanover Baptist Church, the Retired Teachers Association of Jefferson County and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, canning, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed writing poetry and had two poems published. She enjoyed all of her students and spending time with her family, laughing and singing.
She is survived by one daughter Sharon Hurst of Lexington, Ky.; one son, John W. Stillhammer of Hanover; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William H. Stillhammer; her second husband, Robert J. Hunter; her parents; one brother, Charles Marvin; and one sister, Hester L. Burnette Turner.
The funeral will be at noon Thursday at Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Robert Lee Moody, 59, of Scottsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Louisville, Ky.
He was born April 14, 1954, in Louisville, Ky., to Elmer C. and Louise Elizabeth Summers Moody. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a fork lift operator with Pepsi in Austin.
He is survived by his wife, Velma L. Campbell Moody; three sons, Michael E. Petty of Maryland, and Brian D. Petty and Anthony E. Petty, both of Lexington; four brothers, Jim Moody and Alan Campbell, both of Madison, and Larry Campbell of Berea, Ky.; three sisters, Katheryn James of Elizabethtown, and Jenita Long and Karen Combs, both of Madison; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Moody; one daughter, Jennifer Moody; and his parents.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel. Burial will be in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home in Scottsburg is in charge of arrangements.

Linda L. Ralston, 69, of Lexington, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Thomas A. "Tom" Woodburn, 64, of Madison, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2013, at his residence.
