DeLora Walters McCoy, 90, of Milton, Ky., died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover.
She was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Richmond, Ky., to Henry and Mary Davis Walters. She attended Central High School in Richmond, Ky. where she was raised. She received her GED in the early 1970s from Madison Consolidated High School. She was a farmer all of her life and enjoyed being outdoors. She enjoyed walking and nature. She was one of the oldest members of Milton Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Charles McCoy and Kenneth McCoy, both of Milton, Ky.; three sisters, Minnie Burton and Betty Craig, both of Bedford, Ky. and Edith Rae Dixon of Madison; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Justus McCoy, whom she married April 24, 1943, and who died Dec. 24, 1979; her parents; five brothers, Bill Walters, Dan Walters, John Henry Walters, Loless Walters and Floyd Walters; and four sisters, Haley Castellow, Alice Helton, Bertha Masters and Nancy McCoy.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Milton Baptist Church, 10076 U.S. 421, Milton, Ky. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky.
Friends may call at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Tommy Mefford, 84, of Carrollton, Ky., died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at his residence.

Eugnolia I. "Tootsie" Mitchell, 96, of Madison, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover.
She was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Jefferson County, to John Boyd and Sarah Elizabeth Jeffries Wayman. She was a member of the 1936 class of Madison High School. She retired as a certified nursing assistant at King's Daughters' Hospital and was previously employed with Tower Manufacturing Company. She served as a docent for the Madison Railroad Museum. She was a past president of the Weber-Warren-Lewis Veterans of Foreign Wars Madison Post 1969 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the Red Hat Society and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
She is survived by three sons, Elbert "Bill" Spivey of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Gary Spivey of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Jeff Mitchell of Madison; one step son, Larry Mitchell of Columbus, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elbert Duncan Spivey, who died in 1950; her second husband, Albert Brady Mitchell, who died in 1971; two sons, infant Kenneth Spivey, who died in 1937 and Richard Spivey, who died in 2003; one brother, Forest Wayman, who died in 1952; and one foster sister, Dorothy Shaw, who died in 1990.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church of Madison. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lytle Funeral Chapel Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the service.
