Nola May Andress, 96, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Dupont, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at her residence in Anchorage, Alaska.
She was born April 16, 1916, in Indiana, the daughter of Louis and Eva Bland Baker. She worked as a head librarian with the Spenard Public Library for many years before retiring. She was an avid reader and knowledgeable on many subjects. She enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states, traveling internationally and making many trips from Alaska to Indiana. In 1980, she and her husband built a house in Middlefork, traveling to Indiana twice a year. Her last trip to Indiana was in 2011 when she celebrated her 95th birthday.
She is survived by five children, Glen Sullivan of Deputy, Mike Sullivan of North Vernon, Merry Dye of Bradenton, Fla. and Loraine Andress and Loretta Andress both of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Ruth Weller of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dale Andress, whom she married Oct. 20, 1945, and who died June 14, 2001; two sisters, Betty Ann Baker Nichols Baldauf and Ethel Grace Baker Rea; and four brothers, James Kenneth Baker, Charles Woodrow Baker, Glen Odus Baker and Marion Baker.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Burial will be in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 4 p.m. until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.

K. Dwayne Burke, 52, of Indianapolis., died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
He was born Sept. 5, 1960, in Madison, the son of Kenneth and Carolyn Burke. He was a 1978 of Madison Consolidated High School and a 1982 graduate of Tri State University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. He worked with Indianapolis Power & Light, for more than 30 years in regulatory affairs. He enjoyed horse racing, traveling, sporting events, cars and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Burke; his mother of Madison; one sister, Kimberly Stoner of Greenwood; his grandmother, Anna Mae Whitton of Madison; three nephews; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Northview Christian Church, 12900 Hazel Dell Parkway, Carmel
Friends may call at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

June Lynch, 82, of Deputy, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at King's Daughter's Hospital.

Louise Meadows Spillman, 90, of Carrollton, Ky., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice Unit in Lexington, Ky.
She was born July 7, 1922, in Carrollton, Ky., the daughter of Noah J. and Nora Ellen Purcell Meadows. She was a co-owner of the former End Lumber and Supply Company in Carrollton, Ky. She had previously been a switchboard operator for 12 years at South Central Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of the former Rebekah Lodge in Carrollton, Ky. for 50 years and a member of the former Butler Generals Square Dance Club and the former Business and Professional Woman's Club in Carrollton. She was a member of the Carrollton Christian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Ellen Jane Spillman of Sadieville, Ky.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Joseph Spillman, whom she married in Sept. 1948; one daughter, Susan D. Spillman; her parents; and one sister, Velma Simmons.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Carrollton.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Ralph Tucker, 78, of Vevay, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at King's Daughters' Hospital.
