Charles Facemire

Charles Franklin Facemire, 75, of Roundup, Mont., formerly of Madison, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Madison, to Lester and Elizabeth Facemire. He served four years in the Navy. During his years of working for the government, he completed his bachelor's degree at the University of New Mexico in Las Cruses, N.M., his master's degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill., and a doctoral degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He retired from working with the government in 1995. He then taught microbiology, anatomy, chemistry and math at Ivy Tech in Indiana and the Western New Mexico University Extension in Deming, N.M. He enjoyed genealogy, and collected and verified over 23,000 names in his ancestry. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions and working for more than 15 years in the Latter-day Saints Temples in Atlanta, Ga., Louisville, Ky., Albuquerque, N.M., and Billings, Mont.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Arlene Curtis, whom he married Sept. 1, 1961; seven children, Tony Facemire of Scottsdale, Ariz., Lea Yoder of Albuquerque, N.M., Chris Facemire of Greenville, Ohio, Shelly Adamson and Shauna Zorn, both of Roundup, Mont., Mike Facemire of Tucson, Ariz., and Mark Facemire of Gilbert, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Slawson Cemetery in Bennington. Military honors will be conducted graveside.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Robert Norris

Robert "Bob" Charles Norris, 67, of Atlanta, Ga., died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013.

He was born Oct. 4, 1946. He was a graduate of Shawe Memorial High School. He served as a Marine in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice L. Norris; four sons, Tim Watson, Lance Watson, Dwayne Norris and Kyle Norris; one sister, Donna Keating of Madison; 11 grandchildren; one aunt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Betty Westrick, who died May 15, 2007.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel in Atlanta, Ga. Burial will be in Georgia Memorial Park.

Betty Stark

Betty Jane Fugate Stark, 72, of Bedford, Ky., died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born Feb. 3, 1941, in Turners Station, Ky., to Everett "E.O." and Martha F. Tiller Fugate. She retired from Walmart after 22 years of service. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bedford, Ky. She enjoyed reading the Bible and the University of Kentucky Wildcats

She is survived by two daughters, Lana Hunt and Michele Evridge, both of Bedford, Ky.; one sister, Shirley Sutherland of Bedford, Ky.; one brother, Bobby Fugate of Bedford, Ky.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Benny Stark; her parents; two sisters, Nancy Ball and Brenda Fugate; and one brother, Billy Fugate.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church in Bedford, Ky. Burial will be in the Campbellsburg Cemetery in Campbellsburg, Ky.

Friends may call at the church Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service.
