Donald Lee Dahlem, 57, of Madison, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at The Waters of Clifty Falls.
He was born Oct. 8, 1956, to Elmer E. and Norma J. Stiver Dahlem.
He is survived by two sisters, Betty Ann Dahlem of Madison and Sue Briggs of Bennington; two brothers, John W. Dahlem and James Dahlem, both of Madison; one half brother, Charles Stiver of Madison; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Vail Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Ryker's Ridge New Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service.

Mable Hall, 89, of Owenton, Ky., died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, in Owenton.
She is survived by four children, Brenda Hensley of Hanover, Beverly Mason of Owenton, Ky., Butch McDarment of Pittsburgh, Ky. and Troi Cunningham of Frankfort, Ky.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McDonald & New Funeral Home in Owenton, Ky. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery.

Virginia Mae Alford Richards, 92, of Vevay, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Switzerland County to Marshall and Lillian Mae Pryor Alford. She resided in Ohio County for 18 years and was a 1940 graduate of Dillsboro High School. She moved to Chapel Hill Road near Fairview with her husband Roy H. Richards, whom she married on Feb. 15, 1941. She enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and farm wife. She loved to cook, bake, swim and garden. She was a member of the Brushy Fork Baptist Church near Pleasant.
She is survived by one daughter, Becky James of North Vernon; two sons, Gayle Richards of Madison and Robert "Bob" Richards of Vevay; one sister Aldean Brindley of Greensburg; half brothers and sisters Marshall Alford, Morris Alford, Rebecca Rimstidt, Rachel Goolsby, David Alford and Erna Siekman; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Jimmy Richards; a grandson; a great-grandson; a brother, John Alford; and three sisters Alma Benham, Doris Osborn and Edith Lee Alford.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and on Monday from noon until the time of the service.
The family requests memorials be given to the Brushy Fork Baptist Church. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
Buell S. Shields, 79, of Ghent, Ky., died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw, Ky.
He was born April 29, 1934, in Owen County, Ky., to Benjamin Sleet and Jessie Mae Barr Shields. He farmed all his life and was a retired truck driver for M & T Chemical Company in Carrollton. He was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee Owen Shields, whom he married March 15, 1952; two sons, Randy Owen Shields and Barry Lee Shields, both of Ghent, Ky.; one daughter, Denise Gay Culver of Carrollton, Ky.; one brother, Louis Shields of Madison; one sister, Carolyn O. Morris of Baton Rouge, La.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his mother, Jessie Mae Barr Shields Purcell.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Ghent Masonic Cemetery.

Meredith Ann Simmons, 67, of Milton, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
She was born July 7, 1946, in Presque Isle, Maine, to Gertrude Tingley Brogdon.
She is survived by her husband, James Simmons; one daughter, Sheri Simmons of Jeffersontown, Ky.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Mayme Simmons Hughes and Jayme Simmons Givens.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton, Ky. Burial will be in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.
