Marshall Cameron

Marshall Cameron 58, of Bedford, Ky., died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

He was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Shelbyville, Ky., to Frank and Pearl Van Winkle Cameron. He was employed for 37 years in the Electrical Maintenance Department with Eminence Speaker LLC in Eminence, Ky. He enjoyed motorcycles and playing his many guitars that he collected over the years. He also loved to travel, especially to Florida with his family.

He is survived by wife of 31 years, Renee Jones Cameron of Bedford, Ky.; one son, Ryan S. Cameron of Bedford, Ky.; and three sisters, Sharon Cameron of Shelbyville, Ky., Judy Payton of Eminence, Ky. and Charlotte Cameron of Smithfield, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Linda Cameron.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 10 a.m. until the service.

Mildred Cline

Mildred Faye Cline, 100, of North Vernon, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.

She was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Jefferson County, to Thomas and Bertha Sipe Perkinson. She was a homemaker. She was a life-long member of Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard.

She is survived by one son, Irvin Cline of North Vernon; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Cline, whom she married Dec. 12, 1930, and who died Aug. 1, 1977; one son, Don Cline; two sisters, Maysel Boyd and Alma Perkinson; two brothers, Everett Perkinson and Thomas Leslie Perkinson; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Roy Covington

Roy Vincent Covington, 71, of Deputy, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Dupont, to Raymond Guy and Virginia Holewager Covington. He was a 1961 graduate of Dupont High School. He later went to work and retired from Cummins Engine Co. in Columbus. He enjoyed taking care of his home and property.

He is survived by four sisters, Velma Aline Marling of North Vernon, Mary Peters and Marjorie Marcum, both of Deputy, and Joann Eman of Albany, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Francis LaPine Covington, whom he married April 17, 1981, and who died Aug. 31, 2009; and his parents.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Burial will be in Dupont Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Rebecca McQueary

Rebecca McQueary, 62, of Milton, Ky., died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born Feb. 6, 1951, in Milton, Ky., to Lewis and Fay Harmon Fox. She worked as a nurses' aid at King's Daughters' Hospital and The Waters of Clifty Falls. She was also an emergency medical technician with the Milton Fire and Rescue Department. She enjoyed working with flowers. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Earl McQueary; two sons, Ricky McQueary and Thomas McQueary, both of Milton, Ky.; four grandchildren; and one stepgranddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton, Ky. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery.

Clint Scroggins

Clint Robert Scroggins, 34, of Commiskey, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, in Commiskey.

He was born May 22, 1979, in Madison, to Kathleen Smith and Richard Scroggins. He was a 1998 graduate of Jennings County High School and received his electrical certification degree from Ivy Tech Community College Southeast at Madison in 2011. He owned Scroggins Lawn Service from 2001 to the present. He was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church. He enjoyed landscaping and basketball.

He is survived by his fiancee, Ronda Kopp of Commiskey; his parents, Dick Scroggins and wife Kathy of Commiskey and Kathy Sizemore and husband Daryl of Madison; three brothers, Kyle Schmalz and Dalton Sizemore, both of Madison, and Blake Scroggins of Commiskey; three sisters, Stacie Mason and Kristan Schmalz, both of Madison, and Richanda Hahn of North Vernon; and his grandparents, Robert E. Smith of Madison, and Bob and Irene Engle of Paris Crossing.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Burial will be in the First Marion Baptist Cemetery.
