    Spencer is a very affectionate and friendly puppy that enjoys attention. He especially likes children, and looks forward to playing, exploring and being outside. Gypsy is an all-around cat — she is both affectionate and playful. She enjoys attention — when it is her idea. The 1-year-old also enjoys playing. The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has more than nine dogs or puppies, and 17 cats or kittens available.     Life is like a pot of vegetable soup; it’s best with variety, and the more variety, the better. The same can be said of reading books. Rather than reading only one genre, it’s far more interesting to read as many different kinds of books as you can get your hands on.

    This year’s Pigmania contest raised about $3,500 towards the Ribberfest scholarship fund. Voters voiced their opinion by making donations to their chosen superior swine.

    Mickey is a very affectionate little guy. He likes to be up high and would enjoy something to climb. He has a tendency to climb up on shoulders to snuggle. Trigger is a happy outgoing fellow with the coloring of a blue heeler and the personality of a beagle. He gets along great with other dogs, though he tends to want to play and bark at the cats. The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has more than 10 dogs or puppies, and 27 cats or kittens available.
