R.O.P.E.: Reaching Out Potential Effectiveness, individuals will gather to discuss how to be inviting to those outside church sanctuaries, encourage spiritual inquiry, expression and discussion at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison branch.
Free event item listings must be in writing and hand-carried, mailed, faxed or e-mailed to The Madison Courier two weeks before the date of the activity or meeting. Spaghetti Dinner: Madison Presbyterian Church will host its 32nd annual spaghetti dinner Feb. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The menu includes spaghetti, Italian bread, salad and desserts. The meal is $7 for adults and $3 for children. Proceeds will go towards the youth mission fund.
Spaghetti Supper: Paynesville Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will host a spaghetti supper at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 21. Those attending are asked to bring one or more canned food items to donate.
House of Hope Party: A donation party for the House of Hope Food Pantry will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 22 at the First Christian Church of Madison, 512 W. Main St. The open house event will include food, games and a tour of the new food pantry. The event will collect canned goods, baking items, personal hygiene products and other donations for the pantry. For more information or a list of needed items call (812) 866-2436.
40 Days of Community Campaign: Trinity United Methodist Church will launch the 40 Days of Community Campaign Feb. 23. The program will run for seven weeks. The campaign aims to shift the focus from God's purpose in an individuals personal life to God's purpose in the church and community. Small groups will meet during the campaign. As part of the program the church will be doing several local mission projects. For more information call (812) 265-3059.
