Barbeque Chicken Dinner: The annual barbeque chicken and beverages fundraiser will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Lide White Memorial Boys & Girls Club/Family & Community Center. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the club or at Thomas Family Winery, where the event will be held. For more information call (812) 265-5811.
Moving for Better Health: The free exercise class will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Mondays at the Brown Gym. For more information call (812) 273-1072.
Weaving on a Loom: Will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Jefferson County Historical Society as part of the Staycation schedule. The class is $15 per child. For more information call (812) 265-2335.
Court Street Cinemas: Will screen American Hustle at 6 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. The film is rated R.
Jefferson County Purdue Extension Advisory Council Annual Meeting: Will be held at 6 p.m. at The Pines. The speaker will be Angela Abbott, human and health service program leader for the Purdue Extension Service. Four new directors will be elected to the Jefferson County Extension Board. ENVISION Jefferson County: Join in a community conversation about the future of Jefferson County from 7 to 9 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Madison Consolidated High School, 743 Clifty Drive.
Old Time Games and Toys: Playtime will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lanier Mansion as part of the Staycation schedule. For more information on the free event call (812) 273-4531.
Let's Make Truffles: Learn easy ways to make the chocolate treats and test a few recipes at 3:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. The program is for teens and adults. To sign up for the free event call (502) 732-7020.
Who Knew? Tour: Take a walking architecture tour as part of the Staycation schedule from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The tour starts at Lytle Park. For more information on the free program call (812) 599-3447.
Art Opening Reception - Jane Andreasen: Madison native and Earlham College graduate Jane Andreasen will present, "Sacra Systemata," a series of works in mixed-media and pencil, utilizing anatomical illustration and iconographic imagery, at Village Lights Bookstore. The opening reception will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will run through May 20.
Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Steel Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Fourth Friday: Will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Madison with free trolley rides and extended hours for businesses. The theme is "Madness in March."
No More Cutting: A support group for girls from junior high to college who struggle with depression, fear, anxiety and suicidal thoughts will meet every Friday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The group is spiritually-based and non-denominational. Pancake Breakfast: The Hanover Masonic Lodge will host a pancake breakfast from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event is open to the public. Donations will be accepted.
Discover Your HouseStory: The Preservation on a Shoestring Series returns with a program on ways to research the history of a historic building. The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison branch. The event features Link Ludington, Ron Grimes, Janice Barnes and Camille Fife. It is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
End of the Month Meal: Will be held at 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army. Served by the American Baptist Men, the menu will include: corned beef, cabbage, baked potato, bread and butter, cookie and drinks. For meal delivery call (812) 265-2157 after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Suicide Prevention Mini-Conference: Will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at North Madison Christian Church. Refreshments will be served and there will be raffle giveaways. The program is through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. To RSVP email email@example.com.
