The Madison Art Club recently named Jessica Bennett Kincaid, a curator and photographer from Louisville, Ky., as the judge for the club's 16th Annual Regional Fall Art Show.

Kincaid holds a master of arts degree from the University of Louisville in critical and curatorial studies. Her work has been exhibited locally, nationally and internationally. She has served as a guest curator at the Frazier International History Museum and has collaborated on projects with various cultural organizations across the region.

She will award numerous ribbons and more than $3,500 in monetary awards for original artwork and photographs, with "Best of Show" receiving $1,000. Accepted media include drawing, painting, photography, 3-D sculpture and mixed-media, which includes collage and mosaic.

Other award categories will include "Best of" for each media: oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, pastel, mixed-media, photography and 3-D; and "Best of" awards in genre categories of landscape, figurative, abstract and realism.

Artwork must be delivered between Aug. 21-23. Artists who have not pre-registered will be allowed to register when they bring in their artwork. Artwork must be hand-delivered, it cannot be sent by mail or other delivery service.

The show will run from Aug. 29 to Sept. 17. A public awards ceremony and reception will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the gallery.

Gallery hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The gallery does not have set hours on Wednesdays.
