Five area students were named to the spring 2014 dean's list at Ball State University. The list recognizes undergraduates who earn at minimum 3.5 grade point average for 12 or more credits of graded course work during a semester or for six or more credits of graded course work during a summer term. Those named to the list include: Kyle Callahan, Danielle Grady, Amanda Leap and Kelsey Sachleben, all of Madison; and Jaclyn Mathews of Vevay.



Several area students graduated from Ball State University in spring 2014. Amanda Leap of Madison graduated with a bachelor of arts degree. Chad Huffman of Madison graduated with a bachelor of general studies degree. Tylor Rampy of Madison graduated with a bachelor of science degree. Kelly Laskowski of Madison graduated with a master of arts degree. Rachael Baudendistel of Hanover graduated with a master of arts in education degree.



Eastern Kentucky University announced that three area students received president's list honors for the spring semester of the 2013-2014 school year. The list recognizes full-time undergraduate students who earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average for a semester.

Local students honored were: Lauren Holloway of Carrollton, Ky., a sophomore elementary education teaching major; Ethan Manley of Carrollton, Ky., a senior criminal justice major; and Sandi Magby of Milton, Ky., a senior paralegal science major.



Hannah Hudson of Milton, Ky. and Taylor McCubbin of Madison graduated from the University of Evansville during the school's 156th commencement, held May 10 at the Ford Center in Evansville.



Brian Hunt of Madison has been named to the dean's list at Ohio Christian University for the spring semester of the 2013-2014 school year. To be eligible for the list, a full-time student must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better.
