The following local residents were among 763 students from Butler University who made the dean's list for the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year: Emily Armstrong of Lexington, studying pre-pharmacy; Daniel Fisher of Madison, studying science, technology and society; and Katherine Thevenow of Madison, studying digital media production.
The following local residents were among 5,887 University of Kentucky students named to the dean's list for the fall semester of the 2013-2014 school year: Jeffrey Kyle Hirsch, senior, finance major, of Lexington; Bethany Louise Wurl, junior, equine science and management major, of Lexington; Sarah Stewart, junior, equine science and management major, of Lexington; Ashley Taylor Gallahar, senior, English education major, of Lexington; Katherine Jane Taylor, senior, computer science major, of Hanover; and Olivia Suzanne Cline, freshman, agricultral economics major, of Madison.
Also named to the list were Carroll County residents Devon Renee Hill, senior, chemical engineering major; Tristan John-Kelly Root, senior, history major; Kevin States, junior, marketing major; and Kristen Slone Thornsberry, sophomore, nutrition and food science-hospitality management.
Trimble County residents named to the list were Jessica Lindsie Ball, freshman, chemical engineering major; Robert Taylor Brooks, freshman, chemical engineering major; Brandi Lynn Chappell, junior, kinesiology major; Eden Elizabeth Lacefield, freshman, interior design major; Sara Kate Long, sophomore, animal sciences major; Morgan Brewer Pyles, senior, equine science and management; and Mathew Thomas Stethen, senior, electrical engineering major.
Students must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the dean's list.
