HIROSHIMA, Japan - Madison's Bryan Bullington limited the Hanshin Tigers to just one run on Thursday to win his second straight start for the Hiroshima Carp 8-2 at Mazda Stadium.
Bullington, a 1999 Madison graduate, scattered five hits and no walks while striking out five to improve to 2-2 on the season with a 2.55 ERA.
The only run Bullington allowed was a solo home run by Hanshin first baseman Mauro Gomez, a former Boston Red Sox, with one out on the fourth inning. Bullington left the game leading 8-1.
He faced 28 batters and threw 100 pitches over 8 complete innings and also picked up an RBI at the plate.
