- The Madison's American Legion Post 9 baseball team will hold an organizational meeting for all interested players and their parents at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Shawe/Post 9 Field.
- Madison Parks Department will hold Opening Day ceremonies for its youth leagues at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at the Rucker Sports Complex. Boys Minor, Girls Minor and Girls Rookie leagues will open their seasons after the program.
- The Madison girls cross country team will hold a meeting for any girl interested in running high school cross country next season
The meeting is at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 20 in the small auxillary gym at Madison High School.
- The Shawe junior high girls tennis team closed out its season on Monday defeating Madison 5-0.
Results were: Singles - No. 1 Claire Higgins (SM) d. Emma Stacier (M) 8-0; No. 2 Megan Hill (SM) d. Claire Lostutter (M) 8-0; No. 3 Shelby Whitham (SM) d. Elizabeth Ray (M) 8-0; Doubles - No. 1 Riley Boone and Carson Hambrick (SM) d. Aleah Cutshall and Samantha Lanham (M) 8-3; No. 2 Megan Hesse and Katrina Gobert (SM) d. Mary Grady and Landyn Deckert (M) 8-1.
Shawe also won three exhibitions. Bailey Brandon and Kristen Snodgrass, and Julia Ott and Cayden Hambrick won in doubles and Brittney Durham won in singles.
Shawe ends its season at 9-1.
