Hanover freshman goalie Noah Dubrava came up big for the second-straight game but it wasn’t enough as the Panthers’ men’s lacrosse team lost 4-2 at DePauw on Wednesday.

Duprava, from Centerville, Ohio, stopped 20 shots for the second-straight game and posted an .800 save percentage in the contest. But his teammates couldn’t produce enough offense to back up their goalie.

Brock Warner, a senior from Greenwood, scored a goal in the second quarter and Al Alessia, a sophomore from Crown Point, added one in the third for Hanover’s lone scores.

Chad Szczublewski, a junior from LaGrange, Ky., and Bret Schell, a sophomore from Dayton, Ohio, combined for 14 of Hanover’s 23 shots in the contest. Overall, Hanover was outshot 39-23.

Hanover (1-5) opens Ohio River Lacrosse Conference play this weekend when it hosts Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) on Saturday.
