Hanover baseball has been selected to finish near the bottom of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in a poll of league coaches.

The Panthers received 31 points and is predicted to finish ninth in the HCAC. Mount St. Joseph received just 10 votes and is predicted to finish 10th.

In a tight race up at the top, Anderson is predicted to finish first with 88 points and four first place votes. Manchester and Franklin both received three first place votes and got 87 and 81 points, respectively, placing second and third.

Transylvania was fourth with 68 points followed by Rose-Hulman (61), Defiance (51), Earlham (38) and Bluffton (35).

Hanover had five named to as Players to Watch. Players include senior pitcher and Seymour graduate Mitch Hunnicutt, junior shortstop Ryan Johns, senior pitcher Chip Hockenbury, senior outfielder Kolton Chapman and junior infielder Matt Newman.
