NAGOYA, Japan - Madison's Bryan Bullington scattered six hits and three walks over six innings but that was enough to cost the former Cub a third consecutive decision, 8-2 on Friday.
Pitching for the Hiroshima Carp against the Chunichi Dragons at the Nagoya Dome, Bullington served up a two-out walk and a home run by Dragons third baseman Hector Luna - a former Major Leaguer with St. Louis, Cleveland, Toronto, Florida and Philadelphia - in the bottom of the first inning and another run in the fourth to even his record at 7-7 after 17 starts.
Hiroshima managed just two runs on six hits in the game, the big blow a solo homer by Kila Ka'aihue in the fourth inning.
Bullington struck out three in the 79-pitch outing. His last win came on June 1. His ERA is now 4.23.
