Madison fourth at Talon Relays

Madison boys and girls track teams competed in the Talon Relays at Brown County on Saturday.
While individual events were a part of the meet, the Talon Relays also offered two-man field events and unique relay events.
In the boys portion of the event, the Cubs finished third with 82 points. Columbus North won with a 151. The girls portion of the meet saw Madison place fourth with 51 points. Columbus North won the girls portion with a 182.
First place finishers for the Cubs included: Wayne Sherbahn, 100 dash, 11:09; Sherbahn, Jordan Partee, Nash Grooms, and Nick Palmer, 400 relay, 44.95; Partee and Josh Scott, long jump, 40-1/2; Palmer and Tate Turner, pole vault, 23 feet.
Other top finishers for both the boys and girls track teams were: Partee and Sherbahn, third, high jump, 11 feet; Chad Ison, Avery Brock, Morgan Curry, and Nathan Morris, third, throwers relay, 53.53; Emily Holland and Emily Ward, second, high jump; Keelin Watkins, Daija Obanion, Jordan Breeding, and Taylor Hysell, third, 400 relay.
Madison competes Tuesday in the Seymour Invitational.
Pacers 2nd at Scottsburg
Switzerland County's boys track and field team placed second in a three-way meet on Saturday at Scottsburg.
The Pacers scored 35 points while Scottsburg won with 85 and Lanesville was third just a point back of the Pacers with 34.
Switzerland County scored three wins: Chase Richards in the long jump, Ben Curran in the high jump, and Alex Curran in the shot put.
Other top finishers for the Pacers included: T.J. White, second, 400 run; Richards, second, 100 dash; Braden Burk, second, 300 hurdles; Ben Curran, Christian Stogsdill, Richards, and Justus Powell, second, 400 relay; Ben Curran, third, 110 hurdles; Zac Park, third, 300 hurdles; Bryant Sawyer, fourth, 100 dash; Richards, fourth, 200 dash.
Switzerland competes Tuesday at South Dearborn with Lawrenceburg.
