Pacers bounce back from second loss to rout Shiners, 72-33

Switzerland County rebounded from just its second loss of the season to hammer Rising Sun 72-33 in boys basketball on Wednesday.
The Pacers, coming off a 51-47 setback at Franklin County on Saturday, led 15-5 after the first quarter and 26-9 at halftime but really cranked up the pressure in the second half. After outscoring the host Shiners 21-11 in the third, Switzerland put 25 more points on the board in the fourth quarter to win the ganme going away.
Austin Clark scored 28 points to lead the Pacers. Chase Ritch had 13 and T.J. White scored 10 including three second-half dunks.
Kurtis Armstrong led the Shiners with eight points.
The Pacers hit 28-of-56 from the field for 46 percent and 9-of-13 at the foul line for 69 percent to Rising Sun's 13-of-35 from the field for 37 percent and 3-of-10 at the foul stripe for 30 percent.
Switzerland County out-rebounded the Shiners 29-19 but the Swiss made 16 turjnover to just nine by Rising Sun.
The victory improved Switzerland County to 13-2 overall this season and kept the Pacers undefeated in Ohio River Valley Conference play at 4-0. Jac-Cen-Del is the only other ORVC team without a loss. The Eagles are 2-0 in the league, 8-7 overall.
Switzerland crosses the Ohio River tonight to take on Gallatin County (Ky.).
Shawe falls to Trinity Lutheran
Shawe Memorial dropped a 79-40 decision to Trinity Lutheran at home on Wednesday, the Hilltoppers' 15th-straight defeat.
No other details from the game were available.
Shawe, now 1-16 on the season, hosts Class A No. 8 Christian Academy tonight.
