Rebels fire 162 to win at home

Southwestern's boys golf team carded a 162 en route to a win over New Washington and Borden at Spring Hills Golf Course on Wednesday.
The Rebels' 162 was 17 strokes better than Borden's 179. New Washington was a distant third at 247.
Southwestern's Ashton Hill was the medalist with an even-par 36. Michael Perry was two strokes back at 38 while Brynen Chitwood and Colten Shepherd each carded 44s. Stacey Noble shot a 46 and Stuart Bramer added a 48 in a non-scoring round.
Borden was led by Riley Gray with a 42. Kamdon Hurst shot a 44 while Tony Wagner and T.J. Fraley carded a 46 and 47, respectively.
Matt Wilson led New Washington with a 59. Colin Schindler was a stroke back at 60 and Jake Zimmerman shot a 61 with Caleb Griffith carding a 67.
Southwestern competes in the Ohio River Valley Conference Golf Tournament on Saturday at The Links in Rising Sun.
