Seng, Mahoney lead Cubs to tri-meet win

Madison boys golf scored a tri-meet win over Scottsburg and Austin on Wednesday at Sunrise Golf Course.
The Cubs carded a 154 to finish 11 strokes ahead of Scottsburg's 165 and Austin was a very distant third with a 257.
Madison's Mitchell Seng and Austin Mahoney were co-medalists in the meet with a pair of two-over-par 38's. Carson Wattenbarger and Dylan Bilz each carded 39s while Carson Cheatham shot a 40.
In a non-scoring round, Jordan Griffith fired a 41 while Connor Kiefer and Luke Johann each shot 45s.
Madison competes in the Floyd Central Invitational on Saturday at Valley View Golf Course.
Hill medalist in Rebs' win
Southwestern boys golf team edged Seymour 171-173 to post a dual meeting win on Tuesday at Spring Hills Golf Course in Hanover.
Southwestern's Ashton Hill earned medalist honors with a three-over-par 39. Michael Perry was three strokes back with a 42 while Brynen Chitwood and Zach Kelly carded a 43 and 47, respectively.
Austin Mike Sell shot a 48 in a non-scoring round.
Southwestern plays Scottsburg on Monday at Westwood Golf Course.
