Friday's district football battle between Carroll County (3-4, 1-1) and Walton-Verona (5-2, 2-0) was not decided until the final 20 seconds with the Panthers falling 28-26.

The game featured a whopping 637 yards of combined offense but the difference in score ended up being the result of a bad snap on an extra-point kick that forced Carroll to later go for two points after their final touchdown and the Panthers came up a half-yard short.
