Renowned flutist and opera singer Robert Cart, a native of Deputy, Indiana, will perform Saturday at Trinity Methodist Church in downtown Madison.

Once again the Madison Performing Arts Foundation (MPAF) is bringing a stellar fine arts concert to Madison, this time in the person of Robert Cart, a renowned flutist and opera singer currently residing in the Philadelphia area. The concert will be at Trinity Methodist Church at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, and as always, the MPAF events are free and open to the public.

But unlike many of the accomplished artists who have come to Madison for the annual MPAF concert series, Robert Cart has deep Jefferson County roots. “I grew up on a farm just outside of Deputy,” relates Robert, “back when they still had an elementary school there. Then I went to Madison for junior and senior high schools.
