The Mauckport Extension Homemakers met April 18 at the Bethel Parish House. Audra Deaton has a reading titled “The Final Tea” and gave the blessing before the meal. She also had devotions, which came from Proverbs 14:29.

Club president Barbra Donahue called the meeting to order.

The Thought of the Month was read: “A wise man never plants more than his wife can hoe.”

Members recited the pledge of allegiance and club creed.

Five members and two guests answered roll call by recalling an April Fool’s Day prank.

Phyllis Faith gave the secretary’s report. There was no treasurer’s report due to the treasurer’s absence.

Donahue brought back ideas that was mentioned that members wanted done.

Members sang the song of the month, “Singin’ in the Rain.”

The club gained three new members: Paula Hensley, Linda Hubbard and Judy Rae.

The next meeting, with a salad luncheon, will be May 16 at the Bethel Parish House.
