Rebuilding
The footprint for the new Deputy Volunteer Fire Department is taking shape after construction on the facility began in December 2020, two years after the rural fire company’s building and equipment were destroyed by fire. The fire department, currently based in temporary housing, has been rebuilding its firefighting equipment through donations and purchases over the last two years and now hopes to finish construction of a new building by spring.
