Betty Imogene Fletcher, 94, of North Vernon died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Seymour.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Scipio United Methodist Church in Scipio with Rev. Sarah Campbell officiating. Family and friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service Friday, December 3, 2021, from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the church. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs. Fletcher was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Scipio United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, bowling, playing bingo, and working puzzles. She also loved family reunions.

Born February 6, 1927, in Washington, Mrs. Fletcher was the daughter of William McKinley and Millie Clark Davis. She married Loyd T. Fletcher Sr. December 28, 1946, at Veal Creek Baptist Church Parsonage in Washington. He preceded her in death October 7, 2005.

Survivors include sons, James E. (Renee) Fletcher of Cincinnati, Ohio, Anthony L. (Patricia) Fletcher of Blocher, and Marshall W. (Eva), Rodney D. (Mary), Steven E. (Mary), and Terry R. (Anna) Fletcher, all of North Vernon; daughters, Lori J. (Melvin) Taylor of Freetown and Patricia K. (Brian) Owens and Rebecca A. (Troy) McHaley, both of North Vernon; daughter-in-law, Sandy Fletcher of North Vernon; 41 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Loyd T. Fletcher Jr.; and sister, Barbara Goodwin.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Scipio United Methodist Church Building Fund.
