A pack of Panther runners push to the front of the race during the HHC championship

JCXC took their talents to Crawford County for the HHC Championship race. We had our eyes set on capturing the conference title and bringing it back home. The boys ran tough and strong and went toe to toe with their conference foes. We had set ourselves up for a strong and potential #1 finish about midway through but Floyd Central was too strong up front. FC scored 34 points and JC scored 47 points. We put 5 guys in the top 13 spots. Leading the way was junior Eli Wahlman earning his first HHC all conference award. Next week we will prepare for the state tournament with sectionals next Saturday. Top 5 scoring for the Panthers were:

Eli Wahlman –16:55-7th-HHC All Conference
